ya, that looks great!, i saw it this morn and it looked like the cam was in the tank! and we had cam controls.,., thats pretty cool,,

Well i got around to making a video of the new LEDS up and running, the camera doesnt totally capture the colors, but its pretty close. The overall brightness is one thing my camera corrects for pretty good so you cant really see how insanely bright it really is at full blast. and it looks brighter than it actually is when i turn them right down on the video. Let me know what you guys think. So far im very pleased with the look, time will tell how growth does.

its almost been a month since i switched to LEDS, so far im happy with them, some corals have colored up a bit differently than previously but nothing really bleached out from the switch, i still have them turned down to around 75%. I picked up a new camera too, still figuring out how to get really nice shots with it.
but heres one i just took this morning with only half the whites running and all the Royal Blues.

Ya im really impressed with the lighting now. i still have lots of room to bump them up brighter if i wanted. I need to get Petercar over here again with his PAR meter and check out where im at first tho. Heres a few more pictures i took today.

Well its only been 8 months or so since i started the tank up but this is what it was then and now. i've lost some stuff along the way but i've learned alot also, cant want to see what another 8 months will do, im finally keeping SPS alive, colored up, and growing.

ya sold some and lost a bunch, i picked up a green ric frag from someone locally and they mentioned they were starting to have a die off with all their rics so i figured since mine were doing so well everything would be good to go.. long story short the green one i got had a bacterial infection and it spread to all of my rics within days. this was about 2 months ago.. i have maybe 6 or 7 thats have seemed to have made it through it. Lesson learned the hard way. They were kinda in the way anyways tho.
