i havent really fed it anything yet, i tried squirting it with some arctipods but it didnt seem to respond to that at all, i feed the whole tank with baby brine shrimp sometimes, tigerpods and frozen cyclopleze but thats about it, i couldnt really find much about this one as im not really sure what its exact name is other than a dendro of some sort. Can this guy be out in the lights or should i keep it in a shady spot?

Looks a lot like a carnation coral. Looks like you ha e the placement perfect from what I have read about them in the past, a long a there is good flow past it as it is a filter feeder.

They are a real challenge in the home aquarium.

Here is an article from Charles Delbeek, co-author of Reef Aquarium with Julian Sprung.  http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2002/1/aafeature

If it splits again, I would be willing to trade you a lime green bta if interested, I have one that split about a month ago, looks big again so I think it will split again.

I moved about 20lbs of rock from my display to my sump today and managed to get all 5 of my amemones onto one rock now, hopefully they all stay put and once they all get over the fact i was screwing with them all morning im sure they should fill this rock in nicely.

Re: Dukes 80G Acrylic Tank

Thanks everyone, im still learning a lot when it comes to cameras, reef tanks have to be the hardest things to photograph. Heres another few. The cooler frag of zoanthids I got from jerry. They look awesome up close like that.
