why not just look for a skimmer that works well in 9\" of water? I have mine in almost 10\" and it works great. Why not go with one of the Marine Sources Skimmers, I think they can handle 9\" of water just fine.. or space it up with 2 piece of egg crate and you still have 5\" clearance

thats what i was thinking, but i do only have 28'' or so of clearance, so i cant space it up all that much..
the nwb2000 doesnt give a suggested water level, so i asked brs what that might be...

and pulp, i think i considered your tunze before, but i decided against it for various reasons. thanks for the offer though...

with that skimmer i think you would be just fine in 7-9" of water.. and its only 22" tall so theres lots of room to spare.

I didn't mind the Vertex skimmer at all. It seemed to work well. Just be sure you can handle the footprint of the unit because they take a lot of space for the base and pump.

Buy the vertex then. No tax and no shipping charges. If you send him the money via PayPal or something I can pickup for you at swap.

I use a Vertex IN-180 and have been very happy with the results, great bang for your buck with the Vertex IN line. We have these in stock and you would get free shipping.

I believe the bubble magus would be a good choice depending on what you can get it for. I would count the euro reef out, these are an outdated brand that were popular at one time. I am not very familiar with the other two brands , someone else may have more insight.
