Personally I don't like the idea of an animal dying in a bag on a table I provided, but not something I personally would ban as a policy due to personal beliefs (people gotta do what they gotta do).  However it it turns out it's an extra $500 or whatever price they wanted for a buskers license it will be a no-no.

I know my conversation with the feds about fish revolved around species that could live/reproduce in our ecosystem, which none of these could.  So I'm covered there.

To be honest I don't want to think about 'fragfest' for a while to just get it out of my system (and I have a couple of dogs that have become escape artists...and next to a school it's a huge issue I have to address), but I'll find out at some point what they city's position is on it.  :)

Well apparently there was a guy at Toronto frag fest that got fish in  the night before and left them in the same bags and just brought them to frag fest, they didn't look very good and he sold very little.

not alot of room in the tank for coral so i grabbed 2 fish, the swissguard basslet was a great deal for a pretty rare fish from the sea king guy in the back corner with all the bagged livestock and the falco hawk was from sea life central, i also got a few zoa frags and a nice hollywood stunner from rick. ill get some photos of those later today.

Nice!!! Unbelievable deal on those, anyone with a nano should have scooped one up!!!
I considered one but opted for a very deepwater specimen that he had mis-identified as a swalesi basslet at a giveaway price, just to be different... pic later in quarentine tank now...

I got my two colonies from R2O.

Swalesi are Pacific Candy Canes.  The Atlantic Candy Canes are the huge dollar ones. (can't remember the species off hand...never seen one in person)

...but the candy cane ID was wrong either way.  When mine colous up I'll search for a proper ID.  They were a relatively undescribed genus back when I was more into this, super deep water and usually only collected after huge storms.  Nowadays with rebreathers etc. There are a lot more deepwater species around regularly.

Ryan from r2o is an awesome guy, and I'm sure he was busy as he is always willing to give a deal. He doesn't always know what he's selling, but always has nice stuff.

Hey Dave, I was the one who donated the stunner frag. I don't know if Jerry has one still or not, but I have a smaller piece available still in my tank.

I donated another one to the fragtank table once the one you donated sold.

It's a fast grower! Watch out for its sweepers. They can get pretty long and sting off LPS quite quickly.

ya it needs to be placed so the flow in the tank blows the sweepers away from anything close to it, they can get like 5" long at times.
