I didn't see a Fragfest show off started yet so here goes...more as they colour up and settle in...  8)

Join in everybody!!

My first two acquisitions after I came in through the doors and went downstairs to avoid the crowds.  (after dropping my frags off at the Frag Tank table for Karma)

Photo does not do this justice. The rims of the coralites are bright canary yellow on this maricultured colony!  I really need to pull some of the blue out of the pic but didn't want to mess with the shot.

This colony is gaining colour quickly as well but I assume that the base will probably turn green when it is done.

Just the start...more to come as the others start to colour up...

I've showed you mine now you show me yours...  ;)

Oh and any input on ID's always welcome too.

I use a little Sony A35 SLT with an old Vivitar/Cosina "plastic fantastic" 100mm macro.  Build quality on the lens is as bad they say, but the glass is brilliant.  Pleasing performance on a minimal budget.

Yes no doubt - pics look great! BTW, I believe you were the one that told me I was "going to buy corals". Well you were certainly right! These are my first frags ever purchase.

Love the zoa choices guys.

There were so many great looking Z&P there of the cheap unnamed but awesome looking variety,  I hope we all picked different ones so we can pass them around when they grow out.

Although I was mainly looking for sticks, I grabbed a few zoas and LPS and couldn't help thinking about how easily someone could set up a small tank with an eBay led and a bunch of 5 dollar zoas from the show and have a fantastic looking display for next to nothing!

not alot of room in the tank for coral so i grabbed 2 fish, the swissguard basslet was a great deal for a pretty rare fish from the sea king guy in the back corner with all the bagged livestock and the falco hawk was from sea life central, i also got a few zoa frags and a nice hollywood stunner from rick. ill get some photos of those later today.

Tank is not too small. There are no police here. LoL. If you go by those rules, there are no fish that you can keep in that tank. The clowns will be happy and barely move from the nem most likely. The clowns I have were in a 150 and never left more then a few inches from the nem, they still don't lol.

Anyone else find themselves singing "Rock Me Amadeus" after reading this?

Larry is right, a few hour trip from Toronto to London isnt too bad.. at most i would hope he didnt bag everything till say 7AM and i was home by 5pm.. 10 hours in a bag isnt bad at all.. i picked up a swissguard basslet from him for what i would say was pretty darn close to wholesale price. its alive still and is looking good, they are hiders but it comes out from under a rock to eat so we'll see i guess.

i find i cruel that within a few weeks to a month the hobby has probably decimated the natural population of "Ruby Red Dragonets" they sure are nice looking tho. better to be alive in my tank than dead in some other one.. thats how i always look at it ;-)
