as a proud Canuck I like to support home grown business.

Is miracles worth the price in terms of longevity, quality and materials? I'm talking about my 84x30 w x 24 high 260 g

I can't answer that specifically, but I was recently out to their shop. Everything that I saw was quality. I am still toying with the idea of buying from them, but might have to go used. I can tell you that once I get my reno's done and I want to add a new display, I will be dealing with them.

I couldn't even get a quote from them for a custom built tank lol... build quality aside, the few times I contacted them for support on my existing Miracles tank that I bought used, and to enquire about the potential brand new purchase, I came away scratching my head.

When you hear bad things, find out when it was. I know he had some personal stuff going on a while ago, and it directly effected business.

I know some people that have been there recently, and it's getting back to how it was!

They were the ones who built my 112. I am very pleased so far...I bought through aquariums by design. Maybe someone can correct me here but I thought they are mostly building for retail....not walk in for personal sale?

I had the same experience, responsive, helpful, curious about what the overall opinion is, they spent time with me showing me tanks...

MY 225g is made by miracles. I think they do fairly good work. There prices are competitive and there quality is pretty good. I had no issues with Derek he was fairly helpful.

There are not to many builders I would trust with a tank that size. Miracles would be one that I WOULD trust.

Get a quote from them and maybe from another company or two.

I can't recall specifically when I tried to contact them, it was a couple of years ago, so maybe things have improved. Sounds like a number of other people have had positive experiences with them, and much more recent, so that is a good sign. I guess you take your chances that personal issues don't come up while they're building your tank lol. Sometimes you only get one chance with customers, I would never use them based on my past experience. That said, they do make some beauty tanks!

that is a terrible excuse.... I have a concrete company and if I have personal problems and my work suffers that is bad business...that just seems unprofessional...I cant tell my customer that wants a $10,000 driveway im too sad to do a good job sorry...if you cant keep a good work ethic thtough a period in life close down and reopen when you can handle it.. better than putting out a substandard job.

Agree 100%.

Can you come fix my broken, crumbling porch? It is in need of serious repair.

My custom tank arrived in March 2013 after three months wait. I was not satisfy with their works, so I was promised a new build. I called them three weeks later and Derek told me that they didn't rebuild it because their crew couldn't build it to my specification: no bubble on the seam. I said "why you didn't call me and inform me...." The last few word from Derek ,which I will never forget, was "They are other companies who build aquariums as well."

He didn't know, the only reason he had my business was "perfection and quality".I had john to build mine in Jan 14, I am happy with my tank.

Here's another thing I was thinking. Maybe order the glass in from the U.S. and have it assembled on site. I think no matter how I slice this pie it's gonna be $2300-3300 all day.

I haven't call NAFB or one other place curious phil mentioned.
