My new build is currently being built by John at NAFB. Miracles quote was over double the price!! Too rich for my blood.

Here's another thing I was thinking. Maybe order the glass in from the U.S. and have it assembled on site. I think no matter how I slice this pie it's gonna be $2300-3300 all day.

I haven't call NAFB or one other place curious phil mentioned.

Look Into Starfire glass from China, it's very inexpensive

You just need to get it here, and maybe be prepared to wait for it

My tank was built there and I am happy with it so far. The price is very reasonable. You should call and get a quote on it. Also get your sump build as well, my guess is under 1500 for both. Check it out

I have a 135 built by NAFB and a 120 built by miracles.
I can tell you that although they are both nice tanks with no complaints abouts either, but the NAFB tank is a beautifully built tank.
They bevel and polish the corners which not only looks professional, but goes a long way to avoiding chips etcetera when moving it or if it gets "banged". The icing on the cake for me though......NAFB was less than half the price!
If looking for a big tank I really feel it would be worth your time to at least check out.

I talked to him today and he is quoting me 1/2" and 3/4". I don't know why people insist on 1/2" glass for a 7 ft tank. That scares me
Check Reef Central out for a current post regarding a 1/2" glass 400gal tank that cracked. Height is the real determining factor, but I would Err in the side of caution!

I saw that on reef central. The thing is.... the dimension of my tank is right at the dividing point of 1/2" and 5/8. I would rather go thicker. The only issue will be the 20 minutes it takes to move it downstairs and put on the stand

Miracles will build Custom tanks, There quality is iffy in my opinion, Org used them for many years, John at NAFB is iffy too. He will build you tank probably for the best price but it won't be perfect. The thing about Miracles is, They are in Orangeville. If you have a problem with the tank, You gotta return it to Orangeville. Sealife builds tanks and I'll bet just as good even cheaper than Miracles. If your looking for help or opinions on putting it together your self. I'd talk to Adam in London, I think he's a still a Member on here as I know he was getting out of the hobby, Kids, Houses all come first when you're starting a family. LOL

I emailed sea life and didn't hear back.

I got quotes from a number of places. The part that bothers me is that they all jump to 1/2" glass for cost. The only ones that didn't was NAFB and miracles. I went back and got apples to apples quotes on my tank.

One guy told me he ran it through the calculation and with 1/2" it had a safety factor of 3. Minimum is 3.8!!

With 5/8" glass, miracles was actually the LEAST expensive.

That includes everything I asked for. And they never compromised on glass thickness or quality to be low bid.

I like miracles for the simple reason of the amount of tanks they have done. Its also what they do. Don't always look for the cheapest!

My current tank is a miracles tank. I went with them because of the angles. And i know when i was shopping, Johns son was doing some builds, and it was noticeable.

I have seen quite a few tanks that NAFB have done, Didn't know his son was making them. John likes making tanks that's one reason why they are affordable. He is hit and miss in my opinion. Sometimes sloppy but never perfect either. Miracles do excellent work but sometimes not. I had a 50 Cube from NAFB done, it was Rimless but they didn't bevel the top. go figure.

I'm going to start a different YouTube channel chronicling the build. Right from going to the factory, wall construction, the stand etc. I'm pretty sure the tank will be amazing lol
