Im wondering if stray light can cause cyano?does this sound plausable?the right side of my tank gets hit with ligh for probably a solid 5 hrs before the lights come on?will light from a tv affect it, my tank is literally right beside my tv. I cant test phosphates rigtht now because i dont have a test kit atm. But ive been battling algae and cyano for awhile. It staryed woth brown hair algaw and a mox of cyano, at this time i put in a two little fishes phosban reactor with eheim phospahe removal media. The vrown algae dissapeared and cyano slowly backed off but came back in full force.couldve been caused by lack of media change. But still cant seem to get rid of it. Lookig for some different methods of attack. Im looking into getting my rodi water tds tested, as that could also be an issue.
