I would stick to jugs for that little. It would take almost 2 years to recoup the cost of an RO/DI unit and you would need to buy salt. The only reason I got an ro/di when I had my 30 gallon was i knew I was going to a 120+ system. I would have kept doing jugs otherwise

No salt needed in the big smoke. They have lake water which is 7 grains hard. Same as London. Toronto Water Depots have a hard time selling water softeners in town for that reason. You really don't need a softener to run an RO. Filter changes may or may not be more often based on water used.
99cent per gallon, a jug has 5 gallons so 4.95$x 0.13tax=5.60 or iunno.. lol... I'm to lazy to find my receipt haha
Water is NON-TAXABLE in Ontario. If they are charging tax, they are ripping you off!
Hrm that seems like alot the water Depot here is 2.50 per 5 gallons.
They must like you, or you paid for a larger package deal... In Woodstock it is $3.25 per individual jug, Then there is a price break on multiples up to 50. If your getting water from Water Depot keep asking for promotional sales. Once in a while you can get them for $2 a fill if you go 50/$100. Not all managers will do it as it's not part of the franchise package, but offer cash money no receipt....
