Who can I bribe for a PAR meter?

I am trying to dial in my light intensities and feel that I desperately need a PAR map of my tank.  I've asked this before and got little in response, so I'm going to ask it again... who can I bribe to either:

a) come for a visit to see my tank and help me do up a PAR map?  or
b) allow me to borrow their PAR meter?

I realize it's an expensive gadget to be loaning out, but hopefully I can work something out with somebody.  I'm a trustworthy guy!!! I swear!!!  OK, now go-go positive responses!

Hence why I haven't made the purchase yet... just don't have a spare 300 laying around unfortunately.  No arguing it would be a good investment if I had the dough!

you can just buy the sensor and use a volt meter to get a reading and convert it to PAR values pretty easily.. the apogee sensor only iirc is like 60-100 bucks

Problem is a par meter isn't something that most of us are going to use on a regular basis. We probably only need it for all of about 30 minutes to test a few spots and voila. 300 dollar paperweight. Unless you wanna let other people borrow yours....

Exactly!  Maybe the sensor plus volt meter would be a good option, I was unaware that you could do that... and I am handy with my electronics ;)

I have been bugging him about this as well as I have the same light as him. I think after vacation this winter I will just have to buy a par meter myself as I too asked about having someone come map my tank

Yup just Google it and you'll find all the needed info, it's simple just gotta incorporate some math to convert to par

not really, you have the good par meter, you can hook it up to the computer and leave the sensor in all day and it will record data at set intervals and plot the results out on a chart.
