I use " thermal heat pads " when I get things in the off season, I just stick them to the bags and it keeps the water/cooler warm.. another super cheap way is to wrap the bags in newspaper, keeps things either warm or cool..if anyone has remodeled an older house betcha they found newspaper in the walls ( insulation)..

I live in the abyss called Brantford. I did live in Etobicoke for two years, but was unable to have fish (rental agreement)

I will drive anywhere to check out stuff and have in the past.

I like bright clean organized stores. If I see dead or dying fish I give the place a second chance but if I see it again, nope.

I like Aquarium by Designs - wish they had more of a selection of corals, but I understand they have a bit of everything.

I like coral reef shop, they have nice fish and corals. Some unique stuff too. Specializing in salt. Knowledgable staff.

BAs Stoney creek, they have good and bad days there. Same with the Kitchener location. The Mississauga store has no parking and its adjacent to dragon and Aquatic kingdom. In my opinion they need less tanks . It's crowded, but they did have some nice corals last trip there.

Canadian corals, if you haven't been make the trip and shoot over to Finatics it's a km away. They have two huge long frag tanks with bright lights and too many corals to look at. They have stuff there they don't have on their website and that's disappointing . Have dropped most coral money there. It does make the other stores look a little pale in comparison. They are pretty well out of the fish side and consort rating on corals.

Was at reef boutique. I saw some nice corals and he has an amazing display tank. I was there when the fish stock was low and a major sale on designer clowns. They looked great, the price was amazing. Only there the one time. Living aquarium, was there they have good prices and unique stock. Corals I found on the expensive side. But I've only been there twice so far.

I have not been to London only to the frag fest great event! Dropped by the store there. They had some nice corals but it was fragfest so I didn't really look hard. But nice clean store and good quality stock.

As only a beginner not much to add here. Although I went to big als in London and was not impressed. Since then have dealt with bill at incredible aquarium. Was a bit hesitant of the online only thing. However he is always super helpful, and his store amazed me. Kinda on a budget or I would have bought loads lol. His prices seem fair when comparing online and his website is cool

I have to go with Aquariums by Design! Awesome store, great livestock!
I will drive anywhere to purchase, and if I am driving, I want quality product. I have not been unimpressed yet, and I would say that aside from online purchases, this is my only LFS I shop at.
Great thread!
