waterblaster hy5000 or rlss dc5000?

im starting to think seriously about a new return pump for my 100g,,  low watts is key., both are 1300gph hy is 60w 11ft head 3 yr waranty and the dc is 40w 10ft head cant find waranty specs but it looks like they r from canada.,, does anybody have experience with either one of these fairly new pumps??

The DC5000 pump is made by a canadian company, in fact it is made by one of the toronto stores.  I haven't used wither but am seriously considering getting the DC10000 pump for my return.  I have saw them at the store and they definately have power.  The controller allows you to select 5 or six different speeds so instead of valving back the pump you just select a button.  The one neat thing is the feed button that shuts down the pump for 10 minutes then automatically restarts it on a slow ramp up.

I have the waveline  5000  in my sump ..works good so far. ...i have a manifold plumbed to it running a gfo reactor ..i got the pump setting to what i need at the DT but have a valve at the manifold to control  to the reactor

The DC pumps you are referring to are imported from China, not made in Toronto. That said, warranty service shouldn't be an issue with Danny's company.

On that note, Authorized Dealers of WaterBlaster Pumps will be able to show you an endorsement given to them by the President of CoralVUE. 3 year Warranty Protection from Reef Octopus will not be an issue if you purchase your CoralVUE products through these authorized dealers only. NON-authorized dealers won't have a clue what I am talking about. (PM me for details)

I run the Water Blaster Hy10000. I love it! It runs extremely well and is as quiet as it gets for a return pump. Coralvue is also very easy to deal with should you have any problems. I had an issue once with my Bubble Blaster pump on my old skimmer and they sent me a new one within 3 days hassle free. So that 3 year warranty is money! My return pump is running my display, RDSB, Water change tank and various reactors. There's still lots of flow in my display tank. I highly recommend this pump. You won't be disappointed.
