Just asking if top up make up water measures 0 TDS is it possible to still have phosphates in it. I do not have a fresh water phosphate test kit. I am trying to know if it is in the water or the salt. The water is RO/DI treated. Thanks

I am not 100% sure, but I will clarify one thing. 0TDS means 0ppm TDS and that number is rounded. P04 test kits test results are in PPM as well. Our tanks goal is to have around 0.16 or lower P04. If our top up water had 0.16ppm P04 it would still register as 0TDS on the meter.

From what I have seen and read, yes even after the typical mixed DI resin we can have Phosphate and other nasties pass on through. This is do to the Neutral PH that is created buy the mixed bead resin. This is a great video and explains it quite well, and also something I think I will have to try.
