Water Flow Noise

Ya I am not sure what would cause it. Murphies law, it didn't do it last night so I couldn't try all the suggestions. I will try them when the sound comes back. Thanks all

The only reason he can hear it is because when he watches t.v the volume is only at 6/100

air in pipe makes noise... so full siphon is silent as long as it discharges below the water level in the sump.
The trickle is just a trickle... like small enough that the water sticks to the pipewall of the drain making it also silent. Again discharge below the water level in the sump... if its a straight drop to the sump then stick a 45 or 90 on the end of the drain line so you wont get that splashing noise of the free fall water.

if you can manage those scenarios then you wont need silencers or durso tubes or whatever else people use to silence the water flow.
