I'm not sure if this is common or not but I have noticed that when I use my laptop (which is the majority of the time) I can't view any of the You tube videos that are directly linked on this site. They play but are whited out so that I can't see anything but vague shadows.  I can watch them directly on youtube or when the link takes me to another window but not here.  When I watch from my other computer (regular with tower), I see them fine.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?

can you point me to one you have issues with?

A recent example is: http://www.thefragtank.ca/forum/index.php?topic=4834.0, but I have never been able to see them on here.  I just can't think of any others right now.

I will try but I don't use firefox.  I'll see if there's one for adobe, which I do use.  Thanks

i have the same problem.  not all videos, but most.
i have found that they only play properly in full screen.

Congratulations!  You hit on the solution!  It didn't occur to me to try full screen since I can see You tube videos when I'm on You tube without problem. Thanks very much.

Now to get all tech...

Obviously always having to view in full screen can be a pain. Is this only on this site? Do videos on Facebook play okay? Try to disable the Flash Hardware Acceleration. If you are not sure how, a quick google search should pull it up, or click here ->How do I disable or enable hardware acceleration?

The other thing to try is to make sure that your display adapter/device drivers are up to date and the most recent version. This can be found in your Device Manger through your Control Panel.

I hope some of that works. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Yes I agree, yesterday I started watching some of the videos that I haven't been able to see and when I went to press escape I accidentally pressed the OFF button! PITA LOL.  Yes, this problem only happens on this site that I am aware of. I don't go on Facebook so can't tell you about that.  I do know that the video I uploaded from Photobucket regarding my baby seahorses I can see on this site which I find interesting.  Not sure why that is.
I will try the fixes later today and let you know if it changes anything.
