Vertex Omega 150 Skimmer Pump

Bought the skimmer Pump was shot, which i knew when i brought it.
Anyone have this skimmer? Is it worth fixing or should i look elsewhere?
Pump and impeller is about 150 bucks to get it going.

Will be using it on a 120 gallon tank, and in a 30 gallon sump.
Of course I can only get the pump from Vertex.

i have the omega 180 and it works great, along with a R.O. classic 110 in my 210, the 150 would do well in a 120, the 180 would be better for a heavy stocking..

Yes its worth it. I believe reef supplies still has pumps with pin wheel for the 150. It is a finicky skimmer most have a hard time because the pump was a little too large and would make it foam like crazy. You will have to keep water level on the lower side when adjusting the skimmer because it creates a large column of foam and will foam like I said, like crazy when it has something to remove. When I used mine I would start where the body narrows and that would be the water line and you may have to go lower.

So pump and wheel is over 200. HMMM
Wonder if I should spend a bit more and buy new.
Any suggestions on a good skimmer for the same price.
Just don't want to spend the 200 plus dollars and wish I had bought a new one.

    I have a Reef Dynamics skimmer. It works great! It was a bit big for my 110g. It's rated for a 250g. here are the specs

That's sweet, for what it's worth, I bought an Omega 130 a few years back and I hated it, just couldn't get it dialled in, traded Jerry for something I can't remember.
