Vertex in180 skimmer

I bought a vertex in180 skimmer the other day when I bought a frag tank. I knew when I bought it it wouldn't fit in the chamber in my sump that my ASM G-1X is in so I figured I would use it on my frag tank. Even thought the frag tank is 6'x2'x8" deep it's only about 60 gallons so I was thinking how could I get the vertex to work in my sump on my display tank. The ASM is working great on my 90 and 25 gallon sump but I have read that the vertex skimmers are pretty decent so I wanted to run it i my display tank. So with careful measuring I found that if I pull my ASM skimmer from chamber 1 and take out live rock and macro algae from chamber 2 and put it in chamber 1 with my filter sock then in chamber 2 I can fit the vertex. Has anyone used the vertex in180 skimmer? Is it worth the work rearranging my sump? Thank you
Derek

Vertex line is a great line up of skimmers. I used to run the 180 and was impressed with it. I'm using a reef octopus skimmer now and would rather run the vertex 180 if that says anything. Hopefully I will be replacing  my skimmer when I do my system revamp.

Thank you Reeffreak I was really leaning towards swapping skimmers after work today. Should of made my skimmer chamber in my sump a bit bigger. From why I have read online it seems as though most ppl have there skimmer in the first chamber but it shouldn't matter that much that if I change skimmers that my overflow will come down into live rock and macro algae first will it? I do run a filter sock so it's not like there will be that much disturbance in that chamber.

yes, worth rearranging the sump, even remove the baffle if its easier, lots of systems run sumps wthout baffles, those skimmers runs best in about 8" of water
