Might seem like a weird question, but am wondering if Tangs have been known to hide in the sandbed ever. Purchased a black hybrid tang and when i introduced it into my display on Saturday, it hid in the back left rock column of my 300 gallon display. There were 4 other tangs already in the tank , which has been running just over a year now. Left for work this morning, still hiding same spot. Came home tonight and couldnt find it anywhere. Checked everywhere with lights on full bore and all pumps off , to no avail. Even moved a couple of the rocks in the corner columns. No dice. Strangest thing to me. Ive never a 4 inch+ fish ever hide that well on me. Any thoughts?

I have some wrasses that sleep in the sand but never a tang. Some times tangs are good at lodging themselves in rock crevices

I dont want to be the one to say it but did it die? I hope not. On the other hand it is a 300gal tank and if you have lots of rock work well maybe it's good at hiding. All ninja like
