So here is a mystery which has me stumped. A couple of weeks ago I was watching my RBTA splitting. After a few days I couldn't tell if somehow it had joined back together or split and one section was hiding in the rocks. Anyway I hadn't given it much thought but last night I was looking at my sump and here was the nem proud as can be just under the light in the sump. I have no idea how it could have gotten there. I haven't switched any rocks lately and my over flow has a plastic 1/4 x 1/4 inch sq hole mesh over it. Can a hem squeeze it's body into a small hole like that or did he climb up and over the side, walk down the outside of the glass open the sump door and dive in;-)

i think your last suggestion is very plausible hahah,

no, it probably did squeeze through, i have a large green bta, (6") and at night it shrinks down into nothing literally nothing like smaller than .5''
so i could easily see it squeezing through a small hole. I know Unibob on here had a similar situation once, maybe he will pipe in :)

LOL. I had one that escaped from a box. The opening was similar to yours. I saw it in action and waited until it was almost out, captured and put back in "jail".

I never realized they could squeeze through such small openings. It must have gone into the plumbing and wandered down until it got to the sump.
