skimmer stopped working!

so i got a brand new skimmer from IA about 7 months ago, a Bubble magus and today i get home form work and it isnt working? i tryed everythign and it isnt making a sound! and bill is closed so i cant even go talk to him. how logn will a tank be ok for without one running? :S

mine did the same thing but mine is a swc  ..what i did was blow in the hose the air intake and it worked

i took it all apart and cleaned everything and it still doesnt work. im going to bring the pump into bills and hopefully he has another one there. there pump wasnt even dirty either. im going to take the HOB skimmer off my breeding tank and put it on my DT and hopefully that will keep everythign of for now. its not ment for that size tank but i dont want me sps to die!

so how often do you guys clean your skimmer pumps? its been 2 months since i got my new pump cuz the 1st one died and i took it all apart and cleaned it last month and guess what, it isnt working once again. this skimmer skims good for the few months it works.. now im more then pissed. bubble magus pos! the pump looks brand new, its not even dirty around the impeller or anything ( cuz i cleaned it last month) and this shit happeneds once again.

yup, not very happy right now. things come warrantied for a reason buy would they even replace it 2 times?

I didn't sell that to you did I?  If so I -know- I told you how I felt about atman pumps.  Absolute shit, and they put them in quite a few skimmers.  I don't think I did though....

I got a reef octopus and I haven't even had to clean it since I got it months and months ago.  the bubble magus was apart once a week to clear the impeller.  crap crap crap stuff

best skimmer hands down.
i know a guy who has one practically brand new  selling for cheap.
i would imagine the warranty would be transferrable as well.  would have to ask bill to know for certain tho.
