Should I switch? 90 gal to 80 gal

So for last few weeks I have been looking for an 80 gallon shallow tank, one of the big draws for me is the dimensions, 48x24x16. My current tank is your generic 90 only 18" wide. It's doing very well but I can seem to get the shallow 80 gallon out of my head. So what I'm looking for advice on is should I go for the shallow tank. Or stick with my 90. Thanks

I think the extra 6" of depth would be huge, my next build is going to be at least 36"deep.

16" is pretty shallow, why not look for a 120g used, if u find one for cheap that's what I'd do.. Finding a shallow custom tank used won't be easy.. And if u go new it'll be $$

My frag tank is 12 "
I couldn't imagine a dt only 16",
Though that classic volcano tank on YouTube is awesome and only 17" I believe

Def do what duke said, 120g is the perfect size

i found 1 used or else i wouldnt even be considering this seriously. Its full custom, dual corner overflows and 3 sided starfire glass. sump and stand included and its an external pump to, which i have been looking for. if i were to switch after everything it would only end up costing me roughly 200$ based on how much i can recoup back from my current tank stand sump setup. the reason im so enticed by this is my frag tank is a 24x24x12 and i love the shallow. it looks almost just as good as my dt lol

Thats  a nice tank. Thats why i boaught the one i did. Its very deep and not as tall as others. I would rather have the length, depth and be on the shallow side. Love that look.

He is a London guy so has anyone seen this system. He was on the fragtank but no longer participates I learned. The reason I don't want to go bigger is because my equipment isn't really equipped for it...protein skimmer specific

That tank looks very much like the one my friend had that I didn't buy, The problem with stocked 90s is they are too deep in my opinion and not wide enough I mean front to back, What are you waiting for I'd be all over this but I'd offer him less of course  Good Luck.

I'd give you a hand if I was closer, must be one of the Windsor people that can help you, Ask the guy if he got it from a guy in Burlington. Rich is his name, You are gonna have so much fun stocking it. And it's gonna look sweeeet.
