Saltwater Stores In London

Just getting back in the hobby, there’s nothing in London for saltwater anymore besides Big Als? Looking for live sand local Pet Smart has none, Big Als London does have live sand only crushed coral. Did the hobby die down a bit over 8 years?

There is a good one in Burlington too. “Coral Reef Shop”. Big Al’s in Kitchener is good too.

There was a store “Sea Life Central” and word is they are “working” on something soon.

Looking at google it’s saying they’re closed indefinitely. Anything further then London is too far out my way. It’s too bad I can’t make it to Sustainable Marine now, sons playing hockey in London today at 5. Thanks for the tip tho.

Yes, they are looking at doing something again.

unfortunately, there is not as many options until you venture. . Toronto is worth a trip once in a while, but can be $$$$.

Most of the stuff you need is available through sustainable and if you check reef supplies.ca

as for coral, trading is the best option and allows you to buy more hardware.

thanks for the info but I know all about the shops in the GTA used to have a 75 gallon sps. Long time member on the forum here also. Just haven’t been around in a long time. Thanks again.

All great mentions above. I personally endorse Ian at Sustainable Marine highly. One other decent option for fish and inverts is in Cambridge on Bishop St. called Liv8ng Aquarium. Not as far from London as Toronto or Burlington and they are very nearly as personable and professional as Ian is. Save you the traffic nightmare that those not accustomed to Toronto traffic

Times have changed in London for sure. @Big_Als_London and Ian (@reefdiver) from Sustainable Marine Canada are your options in London now. Ian started at Sealife Central but ventured to his own store. Sealife shut down a bit ago and the other one that shall not be mentioned closed before that.
