Good question. I hope you don't mind but I added a poll to this post. Although my guess would be that most people use IO around here. We don't have much of an option.
ok great that is what i use i have just seen h2Ocean and a couple other just didnt know. i am fighting glass algea in my 20 gal and just bought a biocube protein skimmer a coupole days ago and just switched to ro water from tap water. hope this works
i mix mine weeks in advance, have a constant storage pail(large garbage pail from CT) always with tank ready salt water, one nevers know when a catastrophe will arrise.
Hello--I started using IO and then switched to H2O. Ifound with the H2O that the white mixing pail I was using was getting just Black from the salt. When I cleaned it out when I was done the rag would be very dirty. I then switched back to IO.---Jerry
instant ocean for me, i do want to try io's reef crystal thou heard it diminshes ur water changes and adds a little more good stuff then regular only prob is double the price compared to a bag
You can geet the IO's reef crystals for $10 more at BA's during their boxing day sales. Comes with higher Ca and Mag so no more dosing them seperately which pays for itself in the long run.
Ive always used instant ocean. But just a few days ago picked up some Red sea coral pro salt. figured id give it a try. Hoping to reduce my need for dosing.
