Running Mp10qd Without Power Supply Bar

I have another MP10 and the only thing that is missing is the power supply bar.

I am currently running a Ecotech battery back up with another MP10.

My question is with the absent of the power supply bar for the newly acquired MP10, am I just able to hook it up on the battery back up and run it? The battery back up is plug in to the wall full time. will I be using the battery back up itself even though the batt back up is plug in to the wall? Is this bad for the battery back up life span?

I rather not to spend $$ to buy power supply bar, if my plan is a good idea.

any thoughts?

Yes, bad. Plus the MP10 will only run at battery back up speed.

My MP10wQD came with the wrong power supply. I am using a Jebao one rated for 24v and 2.5A. All the Vortec ones I have found are $70+. You can get others for $15.

It is crazy I know! $70 for a power supply.

Is there a side effect of using different power supply bar?

where do you buy jebao power supply bar?

I believe it is from an MP40WES, that being said I do believe they are all the same, and if not please PM me for a price on specific MP10 power supply.

Canadianeh also has first dibs on this if he/she chooses, otherwise fair game :)

EcoTech said specifically that a mp40 one should not be used with a mp10. Why...they didn't say. But that is what I have on my MP10wQD right now. But not a EcoTech one

They are different part numbers according to my list, however if they have the same stats then I'm not to sure what could be different.

Official answer has been recieved. A special thank you goes out to Ray at reefsupplies.ca for hooking me up with a contact to get thee information.

The MP40wQD need a different power source due to the fact that there is an increase from 24v to 36v. The MP10WQD uses the same 24v as the original MP10wES. So a MP10WQD, a MP10WES, and the MP40wES can use the same power supply, 24v, but the MP40wQD needs the higher voltage.
