Randy's recipe is 2-part dosing. Basically it entails dosing calcium and alkalinity and magnesium from bulk in a proportional manner to achieve parameter stability, regardless of what you call it. You can buy your chems from wherever you like, but calcium chloride, sodium carbonate (baked baking soda), and then magnesium chloride and magnesium sulfide (Epsom salts) are the typical chemicals used.
