I have the JNS C01 it's design is different from the C02 or C03 as my pump is right under the skimmer but mine runs dead silent. It pulls some if the nastiest skimmate I have ever seen. I know when I upgrade to a larger tank I will either go with Orpheks Helix DC pump skimmer or another JNS skimmer.

Hey folks, so I'm still looking for an efficient quiet skimmer. I ran into a thread on RLSS skimmers with DC pumps. I'm liking the sound of DC pumps with fewer parts and being dead quiet, which makes it promising to put a small system in the bedroom. :). It is being sold in Ontario. Any of you folks have experience with it?

Hey Peter, yeah that's one option I'm considering also, get a decent body and buy a DC pump. sounds like first batch issues have been worked out so it's good for me. I'm thinking of getting BM and putting a DC pump in it.
