Polyp Extension

Some of my corals, green slimmer, birds nest, red monti have great polyp extension and look quite hairy lol

But others like my: cobalt tort, blue tip stag, my blue tip acro, and my orange digi rarely ever have any poly extension.

IMO they have good colours and I do see some growth ( nothing crazy )

I keep my levels at: Ca- 420, Alk- 8.0, Mg, 1350, Nitrate- 0, P04-0,
Sg- 1.0024, temp 78-80 F,

I have a jebeo wp-40, mag18 return on a sea swirl and 2 koralias (1200 and 700?)

Any idea? Should I be worried?  I do NOT feed anything but I would like to start.

You dont feed anything.  As in you dont have fish or feed the fish?

Any pictures of the problem?

Haha I mean do not feed the corals, I do feed my fish yes, new life spectrum pellets, but the corals don't eat off of that do they?

Ill try post some pics after. I'm not sure if it's a problem or not, trying to find that out .

Any foo you feed the fish will in turn feed the tank and any organism in it. I never feed the corals in my display tank anything specifically. I just make sure the fish are well feed. Sps really don't need specific feedings.... lps will do better with target feeding but don't absolutely need it.

Are you only feeding pellet?

Not to hijack the thread, but are frozen shrimp meant for human consumption better or worse than mysis?

Also, could it be a flow issue? My red digitata that darryl gave me died when I installed the wavebox next to it. First the polyps wouldn't come out, then STN / RTN.

I was wondering possibly flow, but that doesn't explain why some corals are and some arnt. The ones that aren't I am still getting growth from.
