Any ideas on what to do driving me crazy

its eating the silica in the sand, once the silica runs out...it will die off hooray.


its a time game.


do you have anything that keeps sandbed turned over?

I went through the same thing. It just takes time and it will pass.

Add some extra flow across the sand bed if possible just to help out, I doubt it will rid it but it will help.

I have a sand sifting star fish moving it should I turn lights off for a few days

Do you have corals ? I wouldn't worry about turning the lights off, just keep up with maintenance and it should all right itself.

Patience my friend...its totall because u disturbed the sandbed...as uni said its silicates!  It will pass!

i still have them in my 6 month old aquarium
