PH readings

right now i am using a stupid api ph test kit. the colour chart sucks as we all know. for about 2 months now i keep getting readings of 8.4. should i be worried that is on the high end or be happy that my tests are always coming back very stable on an unreliable/inaccurate test kit. i am going to buy a  better kit soon but just wanted your opinion.

I use the same kit. It says 8.4 also. But i took a sample too work and tested it on our ph meter there and got 8.0.

Thanks Mike, sure does...........lets me know two things, my ph is around 8ish.4ish or somewhere in there.....no one really knows.......and i could probably get a more accurate reading dripping the water into my eyeball than i would with that kit.  :

I hear ya. I need a better kit too. Its on my long list of things i need.
