Par Meter

Would anyone around the kW area with a par meter, be willing to help me figure out if my LEDs (gen 2 radion) are set up properly? I've never found that corals grow as well under them as they did when I had t5's. With so many settings, it's difficult to know what's best, and what looks good visually, may not be what the corals need. I'm really not very knowledgeable in that department and would love some assistance if anyone can help?
Thanks!

You can download a par meter from Google Play on your smartphone just put your phone in a ziplock bag before you dunk it in the tank

Post the link or actual app name and I would be happy to compare....

Like @TORX , all I've been able to find are lux meters. The only par meter listing I found is an add on that still requires that you have a meter.

Also, a par meter will not give you an accurate measurement with LEDS. PUR is the measurement needed to get an accurate representation of the output and composite that to PUR ratings of T5ho or mH. It has been a long time since I read up on it (4 years or so), but IIRC, PAR can be off as much as 20% or more when measuring LED light.

so you want to wrap your cell phone in a sandwich bag and submerge it in your saltwater tank?

Not Sure if this is a good idea

I think I may just contact ecotech as see if their tech support can give me any ideas and opinions on what should work best. Probably just tell me I should buy the newest generation, lol
