So, I am going to be dosing Aquaforest 1,2,3., I have the DOS for the Alk/Ca. Since the DOS only has 2 pumps on it, So I need a 3rd pump. I am humming and ha’ing on getting a:

1. Jebao Auto Dosing Pump DP-4
2. Kamoer Wireless Bluetooth Single Dosing Pump

Another DOS is out of the question as it is too expensive

Thoughts?
Other opinions?

I’ve used the jebao for years. I’ve had to buy a second because I dropped and cracked my first one but other than that it’s been solid,

If you go that route check out aliexpress you can get it there cheaper than retail stores

I was leaning towards the Jebao because if 1 pump failed, i have 3 more to fall back on...also if i every wanted to dose more things i could, or put all 3 Alk/Ca/Mg on it and use the DOS for AWC. All these things running through my head

People here know I am all for Jebao typically. I used them for years and love them. The one thing I will never purchase from Jebao is their dosing pump. We all know the reliability on Jebao products. They are hit or miss. My issue is when a dosing pump fails, it typically fails in the ON position. Therefor it will continue to run until you unplug it. That could be detrimental to your tank depending on how much you have in your reservoir. I Personally use a Kamoer. I find that it is a nice middle point for price and reliability. Once I get things settled I will be going to 2 GHL dosers and hopefully their alkalinity tester as well.

Control it with apex? How does that work? Just by putting it on a timer? Or is there settings I can do with it ?

Yes, you would use the OSC programming. There is lots of examples on the Apex forum, but here is an ex. They just plug into the EB832 and power on and off the outlet.

Fallback OFF
OSC 000:00/001:00/059:00 Then ON

This starts the pump every hour on he hour, runs for 1 minute and off for 59.( the rest of hour). you can change to whatever you want but be careful because it's easy to screw up

Thanks I will have to look into that too. I think I like the idea of the kamoer one. That I can do over wifi. Will be about the same price after exchange etc. Seems easier to use and program using their app.

If you figure out how to get the wifi to work on the Kamoer please tell me how? I’ve had no luck with that.
