Thanks phi delt reefer!

I heard of people running it stock but I had to add a chiller cause it was getting up to 82 degrees.  I also got the Tunze ATO cause i got sick of topping it up everyday.  Oh and I added a Ecotech MP 40 to get to those deadspots in the tank.

When my bulbs need to be replaced, i'm going to go LED. i think i'm going to go with the AI Vega's. I've seen alot of RSM owners have success with the AI Sols.

things look great. Good growth and color.
Thanks Tox

Looks great, how do you like the RSM tank?

Thanks!

Overall I'm pretty happy with it.  I would recommend it!  For any one interested in buying one I would tell them they would need to buy a chiller and another pump so there are no deadspots.

If you have MH lighting, you might be able to chuck the chiller if you switch to LED.  In the long run, the chiller will likely cost you more to run than the new lighting.

Just a thought, as I went from ~83deg highs and runing a chiller to no chiller and just a small fan blowing on the water.  Big energy saving.  (as was the difference in the MH to LED).

Looks good though, are those the ones with the sump sort of on the back?

Hi Zakk,

I was thinking the same thing, if I can switch to LED, i can chuck the chiller.  I just have to figure out what LED's I want to go with. I'm really thinking about the Aqua Illuminations Vega's.

Thanks! Yep, its the one with the sump in the back. I was able to stick my ATO back there, and currently i'm working on a mod to add a BRS bio reactor.

looks good...is this your first tank?

Thanks Darryl_V!

This is my second tank. I had a FOWLV for 3 months before I got this one.  I saw your tank. Its beautiful!

Do you have any suggestions on how I can make my tank look better?  I'm thinking about getting rid of that giant acropora to free up space and get rid of my kenya tree corals.

Thanks Dan.

You have done a nice job for your first reef tank though.

As for suggestions....well beauty is in the eye of the beholder so it all depends on your desires or contentedness.  Everything looks healthy so you have no problems with the tank it seems.
