O the days when you could rent out a Sea Slug or Copper Band Yup even them, but that's not a common practice any more. And yes snails like constant perameters. They don't do well in tanks with Temp swings and ever moving perameters, But you've got a big system with a sump. As long as you interduce them to your tank properly they should be fine. Snails should be acclimated slowly, even using the drip method, Too many Aquarist just throw them in and wonder why they die so quickly.

wow, why are you getting rid of the Halloween hermit, I would like to get a couple of crabs, there are empty shells in the tank and I think they would be neat to watch. maybe the thinking is wrong..let me know your thoughts..

ok, torchus it is, I like the idea of a couple of hermit crabs,I do have a lot of empty shells in the tank, all sizes, I think they are neat little creatures. I do have algae on the back glass and wondering what to get that crawl on glass, I really don't want a sea slug or sea hair as when the algae is gone what do I feed them, will the trochus be able to crawl up the glass.
My trochus are always climbing the glass and the rocks. They are great for diatoms and algae. Ceriths also like to clean the glass.

If anyone can find in stock trochus please post up. I have been in search of them for a little while. They are one of the snails that I don't have but want. I also have a small collect of blue and red legs, some in the sump as well.

BTW I have long spine aka ninjas star Astrea snails. Cool looking, native reef species, mine have no trouble flipping themselves back over and pure herbivores.

Very good addition to add Fighting conch aka strawberry conch . will keep the sandbed looking clean. 1-3 Conch maxx for 120 gallon. No fish or other animal in the tank can mess with this little guys.
Got mine from Bigshow
