got my dosing unit today, wow quick shipping pets and ponds people that was a day to get here :)...nice work.

anyone have suggestions on where to place the dosing unit and the dosing containers? does it have to be above, below or level with the sump i am dumping into?

I have a few gallon jugs I had been using for years, but I think i will find something to upgrade them too tomorrow that is clear so i can see the levels. the ones i have today are just dark colour pails basically with lids.

Pretty sure it doesn't matter as long as you prime the pumps as you go
I have the same unit (jabeo)
When I get those mangroves I'll help you out bring it with you and we'll set it up

The mag I find is useless in a container that size. It always separates and there is like a slurry on the bottom. I always does mag manually.

I find if you are doing regular water changes that Mag. doesn't have to be dosed. Of course your salt would have to be high in Mag. I use Reef Crystals. Testing for Mag would be needed, It's something I do every 3 or 4 months
