Yup, your probably right, ones I saw for that price were hard to judge on size.  I think MJC price is very fair.  The rarity of the coral alone is worth a pretty price for some coral collectors. 

The other nice thing is Darryl did grow it from a small frag in captivity so its survival rate is probably excellent.  One of the biggest issues with some of those collector chalices is that they are very hard to keep.  I will be the first one to admits, sometimes they just melt away for no apparent reason...and when they start to go...they GO!

i guess of someone really wanted to hunt for a deal, they are out there.. i saw lots of 400$ frags too tho.. so who knows.
