Gotcha but like phi put 500 bucks for a 27" sqrew that i would need 6 of em  to cover the whole tank properly

One unit should cover a 36x 24 area. So two side by side should be fine.

Or threw of the smaller 20" units.

I would just DIY it if you need a lot of coverage but won't be as sleek.

I have 2 Maxspect Razors over a 5 ft tank and I love em, The Radions are smaller you would need more for the same coverage as the Maxspect. I researched both of them and the Razors looked better and are more reasonably priced. I have the 20.5 inch razors and paid 450 each cash price.

I went with the Orphek PR156UV myself, after spending months checking out the different options in person and reading numerous reviews, etc. Initially I was leaning towards the Radion myslef, but I needed two to cover my 36" (65g tall) tank. I really liked the look and price of the Razor and almost bought.

I happened upon a shop selling the Orphek's at a reasonable price, less than I would have paid for the others. Honestly, even less than a DIY kit from RapidLED. I bought mine from The Coral Reef Shop in Burlington. I'm not sure if he has any units left at this price or not. I understand they are also a local repair depot with parts on site, making this decision a little easier.

I will tell you that RapidLED was amazing to deal with and the price was good, not to mention the modualrity and ability to replace components myself.

I replaced a 4 bulb (4x39W) T5HO unit with a single Orphek. It has 2 LCD controls for light timing and is a really good looking unit. The light coverage & penetration is excellent for my tank. I can tell you in the 6 weeks I have been using this unit my coral has responded nicely, there is visible growth and everything generally looks healthier. I keep my acans on the sand bed and after years of no growth, just sustained health they are growing under this light. Algae growth on the glass has reduced significantly as well.
