I started out with 5 Lyretail Anthias. They were all female. It wasn't long before one turn to male and took about 3 weeks to fully change colour. About a month ago, I noticed that there were only 4 Anthias in the tank so I figured one had jumped and I just couldn't find it. Three days ago I was feeding the fish and counted 5 Anthias again but the one that was missing is turning male also. I kept an eye on him and the original male was picking on the new male and the new male found a hiding spot under a rock and pretty much stays there until it's feeding time and he quickly comes out and grabs some food and then darts back under his rock. I feel sorry for the young male. I've decided, since I'm rearranging tanks anyway, that I'll have to move him to the 75 gallon and get some more Lyretail females to keep him company. I can only hope he makes it for another few days until I can get them separated. I've tried to catch him but he's way to fast. I'm going to be taking down the old 110 gallon and putting in the new one so when I take out all the rock will be my best bet to get them separated.
