push your alk up to 8, drop your salinity to 1.0245. but that's not your biggest problem. its your nitrates. you cant have any!! do you have a sump?  if not, your system just wont jell over the long run. that's what removes nitrates and now you have a natural system. remember water changes in a fresh water tank are done to remove nitrates, they are done in a marine set up to add trace elements. hell if your dosing then you never need to do water changes. sure with your parameters you'll get some success but a lot of disappointment too.

Are you just running up your post count as fast as possible? You've posted like 10 times in 10 threads in about 5 minutes. You are clearly just posting for posting sakes, not reading any back story.

Water changes are definitely done as a waste export method.
All a sump does Is add to the water volume and create a spot to neatly place your equipment.

Glen was just responding to Draper, who says dosing can replace water changes. Seems like you'd be begging for a complete system crash by not doing any water changes at all.....

hostess went chapter 11 in the states, but the canadian arm did not.  So twinkies were selling to 'mercuns on ebay for crazy prices.  Want to know how I know?

Then a company came in and bought the assets and started making twinkies again.  Bye bye SOJ er twinkies to silly fat americans.  To be honest, the BEST thing that could happen down there is they run out of twinkies, hohos, super size jumbo soft drinks and chewing tabacca' (the last just because man that's gross).

Anyway, back to the previously scheduled argument.

i'd disagree if keeping sps is what your trying to do successfully, water changes are for trace element replacement only, waste export needs to be 100% managed by other means, be it gfo, bio pellets, skimmers, and nutrient import management. if your testing for nitrates still and do waterchanges to export nutrients your tank isn't stable.
