PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE:

Welcome CAD Lights Aquariums to the swap! Looks like custom tanks, skimmers and more.

WOW! Do they know this event is in Canada?
[/quote]

Hopefully they know it's Ontario Canada not Ontario California where one of their locations is  ;D

Salty you may want to clarify this with them... dont get me wrong, it would awesome if they came! Maybe they are looking to have a stronger prescense in the Canadian market.

Heh I did, he's from Ottawa.  First thing I did when I had never heard of them, and they're out of 'Ontario California'.  haha.

Welcome CANADA CORALS as a headliner! Sharing the spotlight with Reef Wholesale at the event!  I know I've actually salivated over some of their corals online but never ordered...man oh man, I was pretty excited before, but now.....

There are 2 tables left.  Started getting e-mails from the general public from kijiji ads.  I think I'd be best to buy an ad in the free press the day of the event, I didn't hear anything back from the londoner.

**edit, name correction

Agreed, but the free press sometimes picks up stories from them.  I figured they were small enough to find this interesting, guess not.

Okay, so Rick brought up a good question today.  Now saying that I can procure some raffle items (and it does seem like it's entirely possible there will be some goodies), would it be better to do a raffle or a silent auction?  I won't have too much space I don't think to dedicate to the raffle, I'm going to try and squeeze it onto a table by the entrance, but thoughts and opinons?

Ricks made sense...someone might win a piece of sps or something, and only have a goldfish bowl...

we did this at a buck and doe a couple weeks ago...

have 4 prizes for example, an lps, a power head, a sps and a softie

have a box for each prize labelling what the prize is on that box.

so i go and buy 5 tickets and i can put them in any box i want.
so i wont put any tickets in a sps box if i know i cant handle an sps coral...

get what im trying to say?

ya thats what i was thinking.. stag and doe style.. but not 5 dollar raffle tickets.. make them only 1$ and that will open it up for alot more excitement when it gets down to the draws, so you just put your tickets in the jars assosiated with each raffle prize and hope you win, hopefully you can get some frags in there even.. id love to drop 30-40$ on raffle tickets if theres like 20 or so cool smaller items or frags up for grabs.
