Mr. Saltwater tank wants to come, but he wants to have airfare and board paid for.  :)

In other news...I'm getting a LOT of \"hey I was told I could sell __________ at the swap but ___________ isn't getting back to me!\". e-mails.  One guy was angry I wasn't Rick :)  I'm -almost- a bit concerned that someone is selling spots at the event (that won't be available).  The event if FULL.  Can you guys keep an eye out for weird posts to that regard?  I'm the only contact for this event, and if I didn't approve the spot, there is no spot.

There is a good chance there will be a Toronto swap, likely in 2014.  I have talked to enough people that want to sign up for a Toronto swap that it's almost a done deal at this point.

Whoever said this thing was going to be more work than I imagined was right.
.  Told you so.... :?

Ah well keeps life interesting.

I'm not paying to fly mr tank in this year btw, but possibly next year, I know he's got a love/hate following but I wouldn't mind picking his brain to be honest, and he'd be a good draw no matter what :)

Fly him into Detroit ill bring him to London with me. Call me the frag swap concierge service
I think he lives in Tennessee, so a flight might not cost too much to Detroit!

You and Seggsy can wine in dine him in Windsor and bring him to London the next morning ;D ;D
Not a bad idea. Considering he makes the millions off of youtube I'd be expecting him to pay lol

I don't even know if he keeps coral to be honest with you.  Darryl should be Mr. Coralshowtank.  Cheaper to fly him in too ;)
Honestly I think you wouldnt have to look hard to find a bunch of local aquarists with as much or more skill than mr.saltwatertank and they are handing out knowledge for free.

I dont think Mark (mr.saltwatertank) has struck it rich by any means but I think it is a dime a dozen in terms of actual knowledge and skill.  He can be entertaining and likeable though and that is good.  He viideos cater to more of of beginner to intermediate crowd though and maybe thats why Im not interested.  One thing I dont like though is how he makes it more commercial but tries to come off as an everyday hobbyist.  I mean it is a business for him for sure.... look at his disclosure on his website http://www.mrsaltwatertank.com/disclosures/  and the sponsors section http://www.mrsaltwatertank.com/sponsors/

On the other hand though.....good for him.

I agree, totally commercial, however he would be a draw for a lot of people.  Hey, if they offer me money to play with vortech pumps I'll be a shill to :)

I tried signing up for KWAS a few days ago, but there has been no approval, are they just slow at getting around to new members? Not a biggie I guess.

Not usually!  Do you mean for the forum or as club membership?

As far as the forum, I thought the approval was automated..  Maybe check your junk folder...

They have a link to this event posted already though :)

I got the automated reply to validate my email, then it says I'm in queue to be able to post which has to be approved by the mods or something like that.

I know there's a post there already, but people are getting partial answers and I'm trying to stop the semi-angry emails I'm getting.  Everyone thinks Rick is in charge because it's his posting, but he's busy and when they finally get around to actually visiting the fragfest website, they're all bent out of shape lol.

Salty, I posted a reply on the KWAS thread to direct any questions over to you via the fragfest website until you have your account setup there. I will also send a message to the mods to get your account activated ASAP.

What username did you go with on KWAS?

I've been holding off buying any more coral until this frag fest. Doesn't work well especially when Big Show keeps posting up those killer frags, there almost impossible to not buy.

Hey, and -I- knew before you did!  ;)

I'm slowly picking the corals that 'gotta go' and planning out the corals I'm 'gonna get'.  These things take time!

Wow...  Not sure what to say about that...  spyd did set the record straight and posted a link to the website.  Hopefully that puts an end to any half answers and anger.  Organizing these events can be stressful enough as it is!  Looking forward to it for sure :)

Yeah never did get a response on KWAS.  Maybe they'e full :)

I spoke to the administrator on KWAS and he says your account is fine. All you have to do is log in and use the password you provided. He told me that he got rid of the mod account approvals when he took over the admin position.

Hmmmm whenever I try to post, it says "your account is in queue awaiting moderator activation"  Maybe I'll use stealth mode with chrome and try again...

***edit yep that did it.  I wonder if it's the adblocker I have in chrome that was the culprit.  Thanks for the extra effort :)
