I hate trying to take pictures of my tank they never show the true color. Or let you see how big the corals really are.

I agree with the comments above, beautiful tank!

Thanks. People would be surprised at how I run my systems. I rarely test anything except ALK, never test nitrates or phosphates and I don't run a skimmer. I use water changes, carbon and my refugium to keep things clean.

The bubble and the picture below the bubble of the Paly they are 25+ years old and are one of the first corals I got. They have been in all my DT since I got them.

That is real reef rock and is covered in coralline algae. I have had the rocks for decades so it is a old school maroon coralline algae. Slow growing but one day it just covers everything. The key to coralline algae of this color is a high kelvin for your lighting. I run mine at around 20k spectrum. If i add a white base rock in it will typically take about 2 months to fully cover.

I love that colour of coralline algae, I aquired some rocks from a tank that was at least 8-10 years old and got some of that same colour algae, it is a slower grower than the pink or purple but looks way better:)
