Is My Rbta Dead?

It is my fault. My existing RBTA split recently. The next day after the split I decided to remove him (the "baby") from the rock and place him into another rock. Since I moved him, he is not doing well and has been deflated for few days now and he looks like the pictures below.

Is he already dead? He still have his colour but completely deflated with on and off some little inflation in one or two tentacles only. Should I wait a bit longer before disposing him?

The parent RBTA is doing amazing and nothing to worry about.

Let it be, I see lots of colour in it still, should be fine just give it time and let it heal..

I agree...looks normal for a recent split.

You will know when it is dead when it is a mushy mess. I would leave it for now as it is just healing. Once it has healed it can maintain proper pressure inside the tissue and stay expanded fully.

Welcome to the anemone life , like a women it'll never be happy. Lol

It looks ok if you see it melt and come apart (not like it dose when splitting) take it out . Till then try to leave it like Sean mentioned
