hey eh, the IM30L stand sucks, or so I've read. it's an inherent problem with any stand made out of MDF though, which is the majority. you want it to be made out of wood/plywood, not particle board. :p

you may want to find out how much a custom stand would cost...or find a piece of furniture with dimensions that would work for your space. you'll probably want something with lots of shelves! ;)

I prefer to not maintain it everyday of course. Once per week is okay. So how big of tank is consider big enough?
That's the problem though bud... that's what the members are saying. Once a week maintenance won't be good enough. My tank is 46 gallon I'm always monitoring it. But I enjoy it.if your not willing to spend lots of time on it your giving your live stock a death sentence. Respectfully said of course....

Not to discourage you in any way but this hobby requires some dedication. You will be spending lots of money snd you need to be willing to put the extra effort into maintaining your tank

when I say once a week, I was referring to water change. I don't mind doing little things here and there everyday. I will keep an eye of it everyday of course. I love having one at home.

I've had a 30l for a little over a year. It took a long take for it to stabilize, but I found that once I stopped changing the water so often (5g once a week), things really improved. I'm not suggesting you let it slide, you have to be diligent, but these little ecosystems are sometimes hit or miss. Very rewarding though, good luck.

Edit: I should say I've crashed it completely at least once if not twice. So it's not been all positive, just relaying what's worked for me in this last round.

That is beautiful tank. I still can't decide whether I want 30L or 40. I like the 30 lagoon style, but it is 10 gallon less than 40. Decision....decision...

hey eh, he 30L isn't lagoon style...the L means long. The only lagoon tanks are the 25 and then the 50.

25 Lagoon: 24”L x 12”H x 20”W
30L: 36”L x 15”H x 13”W
40: 24”L x 20”H x 19”W
50 Lagoon: 30”L x 16"H x 24”W

So keep in mind the Lagoon's stick out a ways from the wall vs the 30L. ;)

Are you set on a premade tank? Ever thought of making something custom to fit your needs, there are alot of great tank builders in the gta area.

I'm going to go with the Fusion 40. Just looking around for the best price now.
Hey, I have a IM 40g Fusion that i'm selling due to a new family member and don't have the time to maintain it anymore. Here's a pic of it before I sold the corals. Send me a PM if your interested.
