Yes, but I doubt it. Our market is so small that it works cost them more to fight it then they would make in sales. The American companies are only really worried about American sales

Other manufactures have tried these patent wars. They typically fail though. The post everywhere about the lawsuit, but you never see how they loose.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with why we are seeing the name Jecod on the packaging these days or was it always that way?

But doesn't that bother anyone else? A company got sued for patent infringement; they lost which means they are stealing intellectual property; yet we still buy their crap? Not only that; they just re-label their product to obviously evade court action. That just does not seem right! To me that his crooked business. Idk

I plan to actually read a little further into it. The patent was for the magnetic base. The patent they are referring to in this letter in no way resembles the base Jebao is using. Could be a fake letter and coincidence on the name change.

Reading some now. The patent is about using a magnet system to mount the pump. Basically any company that uses magnets is an infringement. More to come...

The infringement is over the magnetic mount. How the hell can they patent such a thing anyway? I have no problem buying jebao, which in my opinion are just better powerheads than hydor all around. Seems hydor is just trying to knock a competitor out of the game, and have apparently succeeded.
