I need to get the coralline algae off the glass without scratching it? how do i do this?

vinegar does the trick, when i soak power heads, in an hour not much happens but after say 6 hours.. the coraline just melts away and turns the vinegar purple.. maybe fill the tank with water and vinegar and soak it for a bit.

yup.. just fill it, add lots of vinegar, heater and powerhead will help a bit too.
leave it overnight, should pretty much wipe off in the morning.

heres one thing NOT to do ... fill the tank 1/4 with steamy ass water and then dump a jug of vinager in the tank and hangout with the windows closed for 20 mins while swishing around and cleaning the glass! hahahhahahahahhahaha

Half Mask respirator woulda helped :?

Vinegar- consisting mainly of acetic acid (CH3CO2H) really isnt good to breath in as we both found out.

It's only about 5%:). But yes still stinky.  Try using 85+ percent muriatic acid.  I suggest out doors:) and old clothes
