It isn't a choice honestly. I can't really tell my tangs not to eat them.... And catching them seems pretty futile.

I see no survivors... That being said, these things are insanely small, and could just be hiding....

Having bred them and raised the fry in the past, bangaii are pretty easy. To catch the male, a net or a clear jug quickly after lights out for a few hours (they are pretty stunned and stupid in the dark) - if he has already spit one or 2, he will drop all the rest on transfer (which is what you want) - then put him back in the main tank (or he will eat the fry) - put the fry in one of those mesh breeder nets and feed newly hatched brine.
