Any LPS in your tank probably loved the  :poop: bath!!! It has happened to me many times in the past. Lots of wet skimming cleans it up. Heck, some people skim and actually dump that stuff back in their tank on purpose when they think their tank is too clean.

Well I'm starting to see a little cyano amongst the rocks and a little on the sand bed. I'm not sure this is a direct relation to the skimmer overflowing but that's what I'm blaming it on. Other then that I see no negative effects, my LPS did love the fish poop bath.

A lot of ppl see cyano and it would be hard for me to argue with you that the cyano is not related to your skimmer overflowing.....cyano requires nutrients and light too.....the excess nutrients could very well have formed the cyano. Cyano is easy to get rid of tho.....just blow it off the rocks into the water column. I have also found that cyano only forms where there is little to no flow....could try cranking up your flow as long as it doesn't start a sand storm.

I have a mp40 and 2 hydors 3 & 4 going I can't imagine adding any more flow. I do understand it forms in low flow areas which would be on my sand bed, I have the least amount of flow there because that's where most my Lps are.
