Anyone have a Fluval E series heater (specifically the E200 in my case), these are the ones with the LCD temp screen. I have one for my current 55 gal but I'm in the process of a upgrade to a 120 w/ sump. The heater is set up vertical in the 55 because it has no sump but I'm wondering if this heater can be submerged and placed horizontal. The instruction are no help only mentioning a Min water level but it does have pictures with an X showing it under the water and another on the bottom but I'm not sure if this has to do with touching the sand bed/other obstructions in the pictures. And the customer service from hagen (even fluval directs to hagens CS) just resent me the instructions. From what I have read online people tend to submerge these ones but I've read nothing on placing them horizontal. Anyone see any problems with this? It truly is a great heater and I love the screen, just not sure on this placement in my sump.
I did just buy a 200W Ehiem jäger as the second heater in the new tank, should I just grab another one instead of using the Fluval? I don't like spending mo money though
