Goldstripe Maroons Had A Falling Out

Got a pair of small goldstripe maroon clowns (stripes still white, just starting to turn yellow) about a month ago. They were always together until the larger of the two discovered the bta. The smaller one has no interest in the nem and stays on the other side of the tank. Once in a while, the large one will dart out of the nem, tussle with the smaller one for a couple seconds, then dart back to the nem. Doesn't seem to be a dominance thing, as they now keep to themselves except for the random attacks. What's going on?
