Food Grade Drums

Just spoke with the guy from Elmira that has the drums/barrels, they are 20.00 for the 45 gal ones. He also sells the fittings, 3/4" bulkheads..screw lids..
He said that he has lots of them, now to find someone that is willing to go get them.. It would have to be someone with a pick up truck, maybe we could get enough ppl to make the trip worth while..
If anyone is interested lets start a group buy..

no, they are used, they have had food products (?) in them. Some of the ones he has now have had olives in them..

I would avoid that. Cleaning them is a huge PITA. I have a 25 g and 50 gal. I think I paid around 100 for the 50 gallon. Clean and new

depending on what they had in them, they shouldn't be too difficult to clean, I know that with my Enjo products I'd have no trouble cleaning them. I'm waiting to contact the people I know that have access to the drums for a few days, there was a death in the family. I believe I can get these delivered here to Woodstock.

from experience the grey ones had sausage casings in them. takes like 30 mins to clean them.

I picked some up from The same place in Elmira. Brubachers I think is their name. Took years to finally get the meat smell out. I tried it for rodi but eventually made them rain barrels.

There is a place in Milton called Rotovac Plastics. They deal with PVC and other plastic containers. I've never personally dealt with them, but I know they are there.

I'd be going bigger. Possibly to 90 gallon containers or larger. I want to hold as much water as I can without things going bad.

3? Why the extra one? I have one for pure Rodi, the other for president mixed saltwater.

well, I need one for fresh ro, one for io salt (fowlr tank) and one for reef crystals ( coral tank).. I know its stupid but I don't see me anytime soon switching the fowlr tank to reef crystals and that tank is FINALLY doing awesome so I am going to leave well enough alone..Christ, maybe I should just buy a water truck and have it sitting outside..
